The process is simple: you tell us where the vehicle sits, we schedule a convenient time, and a local tow truck comes to you—often without you needing to be there. We serve busy city neighborhoods like Summerlin, Henderson, North Las Vegas, Paradise, and Sunrise Manor, as well as suburbs and outlying towns such as Fernley, Spanish Springs, Boulder City, Mesquite, Fallon, Winnemucca, and rural communities along US‑95 and I‑80. Whether your car runs or not, we handle the logistics at no cost to you, and you receive a tax receipt for your charitable donation.
How to schedule your free local pickup
1. Tell us about your Nevada vehicle and location
Start online or by phone with your car’s basic details—year, make, model, and whether it runs—and where it’s parked in Nevada. Let us know if it’s at a house in Henderson, an apartment in Reno, or on rural property near Ely or Tonopah so we can plan the right tow truck and timing.
2. Choose a pickup window that fits your schedule
We work with local tow partners across Nevada to find a pickup day and time window that works for you. In denser areas like Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, or Sparks, we can often schedule sooner; in remote areas, we’ll coordinate the next available route and confirm a realistic pickup date.
3. Prepare keys, title, and access to the vehicle
Before pickup, clear personal items from the car and locate your Nevada title if available. Make sure the vehicle is accessible—unblocked in your driveway, carport, or assigned parking. If it’s in a gated community, garage, or storage lot, share any gate codes or contact info we’ll need for smooth entry.
4. Meet the tow driver (or leave signed paperwork)
On pickup day, a local Nevada tow operator comes to your location, loads the vehicle, and collects the signed title and keys. If you can’t be there, in many cases you can leave signed documents in a secure spot you’ve arranged with us in advance, depending on your property’s rules.
5. We handle the sale and your tax receipt
After towing, Heart Wheels manages the sale process. Proceeds support Heritage for the Blind’s services. You’ll receive a tax receipt acknowledging your charitable donation; if your vehicle sells for more than $500, we’ll also provide the details you need for IRS Form 1098-C with your tax preparer.

Tight parking and HOA or apartment rules in Nevada cities
Tip: In Las Vegas, Reno, Henderson, and large apartment complexes, tow trucks sometimes can’t maneuver in cramped lots or strict HOA areas. If your car is in a tight spot or assigned space, tell us in advance so we can plan the right truck and work within your HOA or property management rules.
Gated communities and security access
Tip: Many Nevada neighborhoods—from Summerlin and Green Valley to 55+ communities in Mesquite and Pahrump—use gates or guards. Share gate codes, guardhouse instructions, and your building number ahead of time. Without access details, drivers may be delayed or have to reschedule your pickup window.
Rural or off‑pavement locations
Tip: If your vehicle is on a ranch road outside Elko, near Pioche, or down an unpaved lane outside Fallon or Beatty, please describe the road condition and distance from the highway. Some large flatbeds can’t safely travel rough terrain, so we may ask you to meet us closer to a main, accessible road.
Missing keys or limited vehicle access
Tip: We can often tow a vehicle without keys, but it can affect timing and truck type—especially in tight garages in downtown Las Vegas, Reno, or Carson City. Let us know if the car is locked, missing keys, or blocked in by other vehicles so we can send appropriate equipment on the first trip.

If at‑home pickup is difficult—for example, if your car is in a parking garage with vehicle-height limits, on federal land, or in a remote canyon road—Heart Wheels can usually arrange a nearby meeting point. You might drive or tow the car yourself to a more accessible spot, such as a friend’s driveway, a surface lot near a main road, or a workplace in Las Vegas, Reno, Sparks, or Carson City. In some situations, we can coordinate with a local Nevada tow company you prefer and reimburse them directly as part of the donation process.

Heart Wheels serves donors across Nevada (NV), from the Las Vegas Valley—Paradise, Enterprise, Spring Valley, and North Las Vegas—to Reno, Sparks, Carson City, and surrounding communities like Minden, Gardnerville, Dayton, and Fernley. We also cover outlying areas such as Pahrump, Mesquite, Winnemucca, Elko, and many rural towns along I‑15, US‑50, US‑93, and US‑95. Pickups in major metro areas are often faster, while very rural addresses may require a bit more scheduling flexibility.
